MegaFon’s IFRS net profit rises 3.3% to 13.5 bln rbl in Jul–Sep
MOSCOW, Nov 25 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian mobile operator MegaFon increased by 3.3% on the year to 13.519 billion rubles in July–September, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said on Thursday in a statement.
Revenue rose by 6.2% to 91.844 billion rubles. Revenue from sale of equipment and accessories soared by 20.3% to 10.154 billion rubles.
Operating income before depreciation and amortization (OIBDA) shrank by 1.3% to 39.35 billion rubles, and the OIBDA margin eased 3.3 percentage points to 42.8% because of higher expenses on advertising after a decrease during the 2020 pandemic as well as spending on the staff and rent after the lockdown relief.
Capital expenditures fell by 2% to 10.75 billion rubles. The net debt narrowed by 15.6 billion rubles in July–September to 286.3 billion rubles.
The nationwide subscriber base rose by 5.9% on the year to 74.2 million.
